The Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club invites Canyon Lake student-athletes who are attending a local high school and graduating this year to apply for its student-athlete scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded in May or June.
Applicants must have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and have been actively involved in school activities, a sports team, have participated in community service, and plan to attend college in the fall.
Students interested in applying for this year’s scholarships are asked to contact Teresa Roberson at 310-741-0223. Applications are due by May 15.
In the 2018-19 academic year, the 9ers, with the help of the Canyon Lake Car Club, the Canyon Lake golf community, and many Canyon Lake businesses, awarded four scholarships ranging from $1,500-$2,500.
To raise funds for its scholarship program, the 9ers host an annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. The club has awarded $20,000 in scholarships over the past four years.
