Happy Camp is just yards away from where the 4th of July fireworks are launched, making it the most popular viewing spot to watch the fireworks show in Canyon Lake. For that reason, the Canyon Lake POA holds a lottery for campsite reservations.

Canyon Lake residents may sign up for the 4th of July campsite lottery online from June 11 through June 17 at www.clpoa.com/lottery. The lottery will be held virtually, via Zoom, on Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at vm.clpoa.net.

Fifty-three sites will be in the lottery this year. Only one entry per property is allowed. There is a three-day minimum reservation requirement. Holiday rates apply. Waterfront campsites are $60 per day. Off-water campsites are $55 per day. Tent campsites are $50 per day.

Campsite winners may cancel their reservations with the campground on or before July 1. After July 1, reservations may not be canceled and winners who do not show up for their reservations will be charged the three-day minimum holiday rate. Reservations are non-transferable and may not be sold.
