A 24-year-old Wildomar man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his mother.
On Monday at around 9:54 p.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 33000 block of Breckenridge Trail in the City of Wildomar.
Deputies located a 64-year-old female suffering from stab wounds inside a residence. Deputies rendered medical aid to the victim. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The victim’s son, Evan Jon Zavala, was arrested and transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center where he was booked for murder. His bail was set at $1 million.
