The City of Menifee invites the community to its Dead of the Dead Festival on Saturday, October 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Jacinto College, 28237 La Piedra Rd. Admission and parking are free.
Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased loved ones through food, drinks, and celebration. This event offers the community an opportunity to honor, explore, and discover the rich history and cultural significance of this tradition.
This event features a variety of activities, including food and craft vendors, live entertainment, community and individual altars, a kids zone, and a City Life Car Club display. Additionally, attendees can participate in a Catrina contest, a tradition where women and girls wear fine dresses and hats and paint their faces to look like sugar skulls.
