Motorcyclist killed in Menifee crash

A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Thursday in the City of Menifee.

On August 29, at 6:50 p.m., the Menifee Police Department and Cal Fire responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle near the intersection of Murrieta Road and Farmington Road and located an adult male on the shoulder of Murrieta Road suffering from injuries consistent with a motorcycle crash.

Despite life-saving measures by witnesses and responding emergency personnel, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to the Menifee Police Department, the preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was driving northbound on Murrieta Road while the driver of a Dodge Ram was driving southbound on Murrieta Road. The driver of the Ram attempted to complete a left-hand turn to go eastbound onto Farmington Road when a crash occurred.

The motorcyclist was identified as David Cantor Gonzalez, a 30-year-old resident of Menifee.
