The Canyon Lake Community Theatre’s production of the beloved Broadway musical Beauty and the Beast will be held October 17 through October 19 and October 24 through October 26 at 7 p.m. at Indian Beach. Thursday evening shows offer ticketholders a special meet and greet with Belle at 6:30 pm.
The cast features local talent from inside and around Canyon Lake. Cast members include Lindsey Sethman, Abby Zarn, Christopher Vecchione, Matthew Labbitt, Simon Anderson, Annabelle Lukens, Kaylee Page, Cam Rosales, Joe Armato, Adeline Swedberg, Isaac Foshey, Rose Mynatt, Jada Recor, Beth Park, Selene Alfaro, Kiara Price, Alicia Martinez, Del Cooper, Claire Fleck, Emma Webb, Jacqueline Rubio, Catherine Rubio, Isaac Foshey, Champ Avery, Lynx Recor, Coco Morrison, Acie Nwaezeapu, Claire Fleck, Charlotte Clark, Mia Martinez, Sabre Cardoza, and Austin Otwe.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage adaptation features all the enchanting songs by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with additional new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.
The original Broadway production ran for more than 13 years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It was the sixth longest-running production on Broadway at the time of its closure and is now the tenth longest-running show.
