
Alex Cook, Larry Smith, Ivan Beyer, and Joel Farnum of the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (POA) team emerged victorious in the 10th Annual City of Canyon Lake Golf Championship Scramble on Saturday, October 6. Six four-man teams competed in an 18-hole match, showcasing their skills on the course.
Teams from the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) secured second and third places.
Canyon Lake Mayor Pro Tem Mark Terry, Canyon Lake General Manager Arron Brown, Canyon Lake Fire Chief Jeff LaTendress, EVMWD General Manager Greg Thomas, and POA Director Alex Cook were among the golfers who participated in the tournament.

Larry Smith of the POA team also claimed the win in the Longest Drive Contest on hole 12. Haley Garland of the second place EVMWD team also won the Closest to the Pin Contests on hole 8 and hole 15.
The winners received gift cards, which were presented during a luncheon. The name of the champion team will be engraved on the championship perpetual trophy, adding another chapter to the event’s storied history.
