A woman was hospitalized on Sunday after being struck by two vehicles. The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Ethanac Road and Sherman Road.
According to the Menifee Police Department, the victim was initially struck by a vehicle while walking along the road’s shoulder. After falling into the roadway, she was struck by a second vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Neither driver stopped at the scene or contacted law enforcement, the Menifee Police Department said in a news release.
The victim was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries, which are not considered to be life-threatening.
The vehicles involved are described as an SUV-style vehicle and an unidentified model sedan. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision. The exact cause remains under investigation.
