During its meeting on December 11, the Canyon Lake City Council conducted its annual appointments to regional agencies and city committees for the upcoming year. These appointments are critical to ensuring the city’s representation in regional decision-making and the effective operation of local committees.
The appointments aim to leverage the expertise and interests of individual council members, ensuring alignment with city priorities and fostering strong collaboration with regional partners.
The regional agency appointments are as follows:
- City Selection Committee, County of Riverside: Mark Terry (delegate must be the mayor)
- Lake Elsinore San Jacinto Watersheds Authority (LESJWA): Jeremy Smith (delegate) and Kasey Castillo (alternate)
- Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District (NWMVCD): Dale Welty (delegate) and Jeremy Smith (alternate)
- Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC): Jeremy Smith (delegate) and Kasey Castillo (alternate)
- Riverside Transit Agency (RTA): Jeremy Smith (delegate) and Dale Welty (alternate)
- Southern California Association of Governments Transportation Committee (SCAG): Jeremy Smith (delegate) and Mark Terry (alternate)
