Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) welcomed Mathew Dobler, who was elected during the most recent election cycle. In the same election, incumbent board member Harvey R. Ryan secured his re-election, continuing his commitment to serving the district.
Dobler represents Division 4, which encompasses parts of Lake Elsinore and surrounding communities. His term runs from December 6, 2024, to December 1, 2028. A water advocate and businessman, Dobler brings years of experience partnering with local leaders and non-profit organizations to advance water policy.
A lifelong resident of Southwest Riverside County, Dobler said he is honored to serve the community and looks forward to working with his fellow board members to address water challenges and protect the region’s future. “I am particularly passionate about ensuring that future generations have access to sustainable water resources, and I am excited to bring my experience to the board,” he said.
Director Ryan, who represents Division 2, secured his re-election and will serve from December 6, 2024, to December 1, 2028. Beginning his sixth four-year term, Ryan has deep roots in Lake Elsinore, having moved to the community in 1981 and actively serving in various public roles since then.
As a local business owner and advocate for fiscal responsibility, Ryan is passionate about maintaining the region’s rural charm while improving services and supporting education and youth programs.
Ryan said it is an honor to be re-elected by the community he has served for years. “I am committed to continuing our efforts to deliver reliable water services and ensure the success of our district. Supporting youth and education in our valley has always been a priority for me, and I look forward to building on that legacy,” Ryan said
During the meeting, the board voted to elect Chance Edmondson to serve another one-year term as president. Edmondson abstained from voting.
A lifelong resident with a strong connection to the Lake Elsinore community and a dedication to infrastructure improvements, Edmondson said he is honored to continue serving as president. “It has been a privilege to work alongside this dedicated board and staff,” he said. “Together, we have made tremendous progress, and I am excited to build on this foundation in the coming year.”
During its December 12 meeting, the board voted to retain its current officers, who will continue serving through the 2025 calendar year. Board officers serve one-year terms. The elected officers are as follows:
