The long-awaited construction of the Bradley Bridge in the City of Menifee is set to begin in spring. This project is expected to take 14 months to complete.
The $19 million Bradley Bridge over Salt Creek project is designed to address flooding during rain events and provide reliable north/south connectivity on Bradley Road.
In addition to improving connectivity, the new bridge will enhance safety by eliminating the risk of motorists traveling through moving water during storms. This will also ensure faster response times for first responders serving the community.
Contractors will construct a new, 365-foot structural, seismic and hydraulic state-of-the-art bridge. The two-lane bridge will include dedicated bicycle lanes and sidewalks in each direction, promoting accessibility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
The Salt Creek Trail will remain open during construction but a portion of it near Bradley Road will be detoured. Trail access and the traffic signal remain unchanged.
The project is fully funded through Federal programs, the County of Riverside Flood Control, the Local Transportation Climate Adaptation Program (LTCAP), the City of Menifee Quality of Life Measure, and other local funds.
The city will provide additional details as the project moves forward.
