Samantha Gorrell is a long-time resident of Canyon Lake, relocating from Pacific Palisades in 1977.

In her early years in Canyon Lake, Gorrell was an avid skier and a horse owner. Today, Gorrell spends her spare time volunteering with the Woman’s Club, where she is serving her second consecutive term as president. Her vision as president is to expand membership and inspire and mentor young women into volunteering.

Before assuming the role of president, Gorrell held several key positions on the board, building a strong foundation for her leadership.

As first vice president/programs, Gorrell was responsible for arranging the programs, soliciting key speakers for monthly meetings, recruiting chairs and committee members for various events, and securing vendors for all events.

As second vice president/ways and means, Gorrell was responsible for key events such as the Holiday Home Tour, Fashion Show, Witches Gathering, and Hot Autumn Nights.

Gorrell also served as the club’s secretary and was instrumental in developing the club’s bi-annual cooking classes.

Through the volunteer efforts of Gorrell and her fellow members, the Women’s Club has been able to award many student scholarships, enriching the lives of countless women in the community.

A mother of five and grandmother to many, Gorrell’s commitment to family and community is evident.

In addition to being an active realtor, Gorrell is an interior designer. She is “addicted” to reading and enjoys gardening.
