Suspect arrested for criminal threats against Moreno Valley city officials, sheriff’s personnel

A Moreno Valley man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly making criminal threats against various Moreno Valley city officials and Riverside Sheriff’s personnel.

Jesse William Wykel, a 32-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, allegedly made specific criminal threats targeting city politicians and officials by name. He was located at a residence in the 12000 block of Bluntleaf Court in the City of Moreno Valley and transported to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, where he was interviewed.

Wykel was subsequently booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for threatening a public official and threatening an executive officer. His bail was set at $1 million, jail records show.
