A Perris man was arrested on February 14 for allegedly attempting to perform lewd acts with a minor.
On January 28, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station-Special Enforcement Team conducted an online undercover operation, posing as a 13-year-old female. During the investigation, a response was received from Victor Bustamante, a 54-year-old resident of Perris. According to the Riverside County Riverside Sheriff’s Department, after several days of communication, Bustamante ultimately agreed to meet to perform sex acts with the underaged female.
Bustamante was arrested on February 14 without incident. He was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of arranging to meet a minor with the intent of sexual acts, contacting a minor with intent to commit sexual acts, exhibiting and sending harmful material to a minor, and attempting lewd acts with a minor. He is being held on a $55,000 bail.
