Murrieta Fire responds to three overnight stucture fires

Murrieta Fire & Rescue responded to three separate structure fires overnight, with resource support from CAL FIRE and the Murrieta Police Department.

The first fire occurred just before midnight on Cholla Court and involved a wall and attic of a home currently under renovation.

The second fire occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at a large detached shop fire on Bay Meadows Way. The shop, located on a residential property, sustained significant damage. Firefighters successfully protected the adjacent residence. No residents were displaced, according to the department.

The third fire was reported shortly after 2 a.m. on Corte Albara in The Colony. The blaze was contained to a garage. One person sustained minor injuries and self-transported to a local hospital. No residents were displaced.

The causes of all three fires remain under investigation.
