The Murrieta Police Department is seeking the owners of a pet headstone discovered last week during a community policing initiative.
While conducting an encampment cleanup in the south end of Murrieta, the Community Policing Team located a headstone that did not belong in the area. The department suspects that the headstone may have been stolen from a location in Murrieta or Temecula.
The inscription on the headstone reads: In Memory of Wiggles, Tuffy, and Sassy.
“We would really like to get it back to the owner,” the department said.
