Twenty-six members of the Canyon Lake Yacht Club recently embarked on an excursion to the King Harbor Yacht Club in Redondo Beach.

Hosts Dave Deboe and Judy Miller welcomed the group aboard their 55-foot yacht docked at King Harbor, where they enjoyed appetizers and drinks before heading out for an offshore cruise around the marina. Deboe and Miller are Canyon Lake residents and members of both yacht clubs.
During the excursion, Commodore Rob Mora had the opportunity to meet King Harbor Yacht Club Commodore James Lee. Members of both clubs gathered for drinks and dinner at the clubhouse, where the highlight of the evening was seeing the Canyon Lake Yacht Club’s burgee proudly displayed—a testament to the Canyon Lake Yacht Club’s tradition of exchanging burgees with yacht clubs across the U.S. and internationally.
The members invited to this excursion were primarily those who helped collect burgees from around the world. Currently, the Canyon Lake Yacht Club boasts an impressive collection of 48 burgees.

The club’s next adventure is set for Thursday, April 17, when members will visit the Shoreline Yacht Club in Long Beach. This upcoming excursion will be exclusive to membership plus members. The Shoreline Yacht Club will be participating in the Canyon Lake Yacht Club Opening Day of Boating Season and Blessing of the Boats on April 26.
With a current membership of 251, the Canyon Lake Yacht Club continues to foster camaraderie through its excursions and social events, strengthening connections in the community and with yacht clubs near and far.
