A coordinated Off-Highway Vehicle Enforcement Operation in the community of Nuevo and the nearby San Jacinto Wildlife Area resulted in multiple arrests, citations, and a vehicle recovery.
The operation, conducted on March 29 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., was a joint effort by deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Teams, California Highway Patrol, Cal Fire Police, and California Fish and Game, conducted the operation in the community of Nuevo and nearby San Jacinto Wildlife area.
During the enforcement sweep, 18 off-road vehicles were towed for illegally operating on a public roadway, 11 citations were issued for various vehicle code violations, and one stolen vehicle was recovered.
In addition, three individuals were arrested for evading law enforcement: Edwin Guzman, a 32-year-old resident of Compton; William Viscencio, a 32-year-old resident of Perris; and Kyler Hernandez, a 32-year-old resident of Perris.
