During the April 9 meeting of the Canyon Lake City Council, Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse presented the Canyon Lake Fire Department’s report for March, highlighting 79 calls for service and no fires.
The 79 calls for service include 52 rescue/EMS incidents, 15 service calls, eight good intent calls, one hazardous condition, two false alarms/false calls, and one call not reported. No fires were reported in March.
The average dispatch to en route response time was 0.44 minutes, en route to arrival time was 5.31 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 6.14 minutes. These times represent the average of all Code 3 EMS responses in the city. They do not include auto/mutual aid incidents.
The 90 percent fractile dispatch to en route response time was 1.25 minutes, en route to arrival time was 8.30 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 9.23 minutes.
Cal Fire responded into the City of Canyon Lake seven times. The Canyon Lake Fire Department responded to two incidents outside the city. Both incidents were in the City of Lake Elsinore.
