Canyon Lake residents Ginny and Chris Papavero made a remarkable debut at the Elsinore Woman’s Club 69th Annual Flower Show, held on April 25 and 26.
Entering the competition for the first time, the Papaveros showcased their gardening talents and quickly captured the judges’ attention with their artfully arranged floral displays, earning a total of 12 awards for their 11 entries.
Their standout five-stem amaryllis earned the Papaveros a first-place award and one of three prestigious sweepstakes awards. They also captured an additional six first-place awards, one second-place award, one third-place award, and two honorable mentions across multiple categories.
Chris, the president of the Canyon Lake Community Gardeners Club, is looking forward to bringing this competition to Canyon Lake next year for the inaugural Canyon Lake Flower Show.
