The Canyon Lake golf course has undergone a reconfiguration that included the installation of new bronze plaques.
To support this transition, the retired plaques were auctioned off during the Canyon Lake Association of Past Presidents’ (CLAPPS) Beautification Tournament on April 26, offering Canyon Lake residents a unique chance to own a piece of the course’s history.
A total of 21 plaques were auctioned off. Bidding started at $100 per plaque, with the highest bid reaching $700 for the hole 17 plaque. The auction raised $7,625, according to CLAPPS Treasurer Travis Montgomery. In all, the Beautification Tournament raised approximately $20,000.
Proceeds from the tournament will be reinvested into golf course improvements.
