During the May 14 meeting of the Canyon Lake City Council, Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse presented the Canyon Lake Fire Department’s report for April, highlighting 98 calls for service.
Calls for service include two fires, 66 rescue/EMS incidents, 14 service calls, nine good intent calls, five false alarms/false calls, and two calls not reported.
The average dispatch to en route response time was 0.46 minutes, en route to arrival time was 5.15 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 6.01 minutes. These times represent the average of all Code 3 EMS responses in the city. They do not include auto/mutual aid incidents.
The 90 percent fractile dispatch to en route response time was 1.12 minutes, en route to arrival time was 7.25 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 8.11 minutes.
Cal Fire responded to the City of Canyon Lake six times in April. The Canyon Lake Fire Department responded to 12 incidents outside the city. They include 10 in Lake Elsinore and two in Menifee.
