Temecula teacher arrested on suspicion of molesting student

A Temecula school teacher has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate contact with a student.

On May 7 at about 5:30 p.m., a school resource deputy with the Riverside Sheriff’s Southwest Station responded to a school in the 29000 block of Mira Loma Drive in the city of Temecula to investigate a report of a teacher having inappropriate contact with a student. Due to the investigation, the teacher was placed on administrative leave.

On May 27, George Vega, a 57-year-old resident of Temecula, was arrested on suspicion of molesting a minor and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. His bail is set at $55,000.
