Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of wire theft on Wednesday in the City of Menifee.
Around 5 a.m., Menifee officers responded to a report of wire theft taking place in the area of Bundy Canyon and Waldon Road. Responding officers detain two suspects in possession of large amounts of wire and cutting tools. Officers were also able to locate evidence of wire theft from a nearby power pole, according to the Menifee Police Department.
The suspects were arrested on suspicion of grand theft, felony vandalism, and felony conspiracy.
“These types of crimes can leave neighborhoods in the dark and cost thousands in repairs,” the Menifee Police Department said. “We’re committed to protecting our city and holding offenders accountable.”
