On August 6, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office charged Richard Ferris, a 50-year-old Moreno Valley man, with the 2006 murder of brothers Louie Joseph Granado, 25, and Glenn Michael Granado, 34.
On January 29, 2006, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired near Pepper Court and John F. Kennedy Drive in the City of Moreno Valley. The two victims were found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle, where they were pronounced dead at the scene.
During the initial stages of the investigation, Ferris was identified as a suspect. Recently, investigators identified additional information and arrested Ferris on July 31, 2025.
The criminal complaint alleges Ferris is charged with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder, two sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a firearm, and a special circumstance allegation of committing multiple murders. He made his first court appearance to be arraigned but was continued to August 19 on the defense’s request.
