Canyon Lake Little League is set to kick off its fall season with Opening Day festivities on Saturday, September 13.
The From 8 to 10 a.m., the snack bar will be serving a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 to 10 p.m. Plates are available for $8, or for $5 guests can choose the two-pancake option.
At 9:45 a.m., teams will enter the field, followed by the official Opening Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Highlights of the ceremony include a parade of players, a welcome from the president, the national anthem, and the first pitch. Games will be played throughout the day.
In addition to baseball and food, families can enjoy shopping at the vendor area and photo opportunities.
The excitement starts early, with Friday Night Lights on September 12, the evening before Opening Day. The showcase will feature a game between the Pirates and Tigers (AAA Division) at 5 p.m., followed by a game between the Canyon Lake Diamondbacks and the Hemet Raptors (Major Division) at 7 p.m. Street tacos will be available at the snack bar.
The community is invited to attend both events, cheer on the players, and celebrate the start of the fall season of baseball.
