Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station deputies are searching for the driver who fled the scene of a fatal accident on August 13 in the City of Wildomar.
Around 6:13 p.m., deputies responded to a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Bundy Canyon Road and Harvest Way and located the motorcyclist unresponsive in a ravine.
Despite life-saving measures, the motorcyclist, identified as 63-year-old Augustine Garcia of Wildomar, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this collision, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies are working to locate 40-year-old Arturo Morales Deleon, a person of interest in the fatal hit-and-run. Anyone who may know of Deleon’s whereabouts or may have witnessed this collision is asked to contact Deputy Wiley at 951–245–3000 or the Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951–776–1099.
