The City of Lake Elsinore’s Economic Development Department announced “El Comal” as the city’s July Business in Action Spotlight, a program that is a part of the Department’s Building Better Businesses (B3) program in partnership with the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in 2002, El Comal is known for its authentic cuisine, warm hospitality, and extensive Tequila and Mezcal selection backed by first-hand knowledge.

Located at 31731 Riverside Dr., El Comal has built a loyal customer base and a reputation for blending the rich culinary traditions of Mexico and El Salvador with delicious cuisines, including menudo, pupusas, and enchiladas, while maintaining friendly and attentive service and a festive atmosphere.

El Comal has earned numerous accolades, including 2020 Medium-Sized Business of the Year by the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Owners Carolina, Miguel, Sam, and Brenda Casillas are dedicated to the community and frequently donate food for teacher appreciation events, sponsor and donate to local youth sports teams, support the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce events, sponsor local events and charities, and engage in civic initiatives.

The owners of El Comal were recognized at the July 22 meeting of the city council, where they were presented with a certificate of recognition.
