A 64-year-old Wildomar man was killed and a 56-year-old Wildomar woman was injured in a shooting on Friday evening.
Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station were dispatched around 7:17 p.m. on September 12 to the 24000 block of Orange Street, where they found both victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the man, identified as Jesus Monge, deceased at the scene. The female victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The suspect was identified as 33-year-old David Rodolfo Jimenez, also a resident of Wildomar. Jimenez was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. His bail is set at $1 million.
The name of the female victim was not released.
