A bomb threat forced the evacuation of a medical office building in Murrieta on Tuesday morning, September 16.
At approximately 10:23 a.m., Murrieta Police officers responded to a report of a bomb threat at a medical office building in the 25400 block of Medical Center Drive, next to Rancho Springs Medical Center. The building houses 10 medical suites.
The report originated from a telecommunications security provider responsible for monitoring multiple medical office buildings across Riverside County. Because the threat was non-specific, notifications were made to all 11 medical office locations under their responsibility. Several other Riverside County law enforcement agencies confirmed that precautionary evacuations were also conducted at facilities within their jurisdictions.
Murrieta Police Department and Murrieta Fire and Rescue quickly established a command post and evacuated the building. A thorough search of the premises was conducted, including to the interior, exterior, parking areas, and rooftop. No suspicious devices or items were discovered, and the threat was determined to be unfounded.
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.

Such actions divert critical public safety resources, cause unnecessary fear, and significantly disrupt essential operations.
