The City of Canyon Lake invites the community to honor a veteran or active-duty service member this Veterans Day with a flag in the Field of Honor at the Veterans Memorial Park in the Towne Center.
Beginning November 7, community volunteers will assemble the Field of Honor, featuring approximately 200 American flags that will remain on display through November 14.
This patriotic tribute provides an opportunity for residents to reflect on the service and sacrifices of the men and women who have worn the uniform of the nation.
Flag sponsorships are available for $10 each. Each sponsored flag will include a yellow ribbon personalized with the name of the veteran or active-duty service member being honored.
Flags can be purchased by community members from October 6 through November 5. Sponsorship forms are available at Pack, Wrap, and Post, 31566 Railroad Canyon Rd., during normal business hours.
Those who sponsor a flag are welcome to retrieve it from Pack, Wrap, and Post after November 14 as a personal keepsake.
