In honor of Veterans Day, the community is invited to join in honoring the nation’s heroes at a special Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, November 11, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park in the Canyon Lake Towne Center.
The brief but meaningful ceremony will feature patriotic music by resident DJ Mike Shroyer and a live performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner” by Tara Miller. Navy Chief Petty Officer Adam McNaughton will deliver remarks in tribute to the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Complimentary refreshments will be available inside Pack, Wrap, and Post.
Later in the afternoon, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park, the City of Canyon Lake will host its 17th Annual Veterans Day Celebration. This event will feature live music, a flyover, a marketplace, speakers, and a free quilt raffle exclusively for veterans.
