The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (POA) Board of Directors recognized the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild as its Member of the Month for the group’s contributions to the community.

During the meeting, the Board noted that while they traditionally select an individual for its Member of the Month, the Guild’s extensive impact warranted an exception.

Formed in 2001, the Canyon Lake Guild has grown to more than 200 members and is known for organizing a wide range of entertainment events throughout the community. The Guild is celebrated for bringing in high-quality tribute bands and live performances.

Beyond entertainment, the Guild has made significant financial contributions to enhance community amenities, including a $25,000 donation toward the Holiday Harbor Park amphitheater and $10,000 for the new sound system in the Holiday Bay Room, as well as scholarships and donations to other local clubs.

In 2017, the Guild created HarborFest, a free community concert that continues to be a highlight for residents year after year.

The Canyon Lake POA commended the Guild for its continued dedication to enriching community life and for its generosity in giving back.

The current Guild Board consists of Bonnie Dubbs, Larry Garland, Chris Papavero, Cindy Cameron, Iris Strickland, Brian Wood, and Kasey Castillo.
