Following numerous complaints from residents about traffic congestion at the community’s entrance gates on the evening of Halloween, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association is implementing a new pilot program aimed at improving traffic flow during busy holidays.
On Thanksgiving Day, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the main gate will be designated for guest entry, while the east gate will be reserved exclusively for residents. Guests attempting to enter through the east gate will be instructed to turn around and use the main gate.
This temporary change is part of an effort to test new methods for reducing wait times and improving traffic circulation during peak visitation days.
The POA will release additional details and reminders about the changes in the coming days.
