An 18-year-old Ontario resident and a 19-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident have been arrested in connection with a multi-county theft spree.
On November 13 at 11:48 a.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a business in the 1600 block of North Perris Boulevard in the City of Perris regarding a grand theft. Reportedly, the suspects stole a large amount of beauty products from the business and fled the area.
Through follow-up leads, the suspects were identified as 18-year-old Andres Mora of Ontario and 19-year-old Nicole Barrios of Rancho Cucamonga.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, it was learned that Mora and Barrios are responsible for multiple thefts in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and several cities throughout Riverside County, with a combined total of approximately $30,000 in theft of merchandise.
On November 14, Mora and Barrios were taken into custody shortly after committing a theft at a business in the 2000 block of West Florida Avenue in the City of Hemet. Evidence related to the series of thefts was located in the suspect’s vehicle, authorities said. Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of grand theft and organized retail theft.
