Due to traffic congestion at Canyon Lake’s main gate during the holidays, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) is implementing a new pilot program for Thanksgiving Day.
On Thanksgiving Day, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the main gate will be designated for guest entry, while the east gate will be reserved exclusively for residents. Guests attempting to enter through the east gate will be instructed to turn around and use the main gate. Access to the north gate will remain unchanged, with both residents and guests permitted to enter there as usual.
This temporary change is part of an effort to test new methods for reducing wait times and improving traffic circulation during peak visitation days. If successful, the CLPOA may implement this model for additional high-traffic holidays in the future.
The CLPOA is urging residents to plan ahead and share this information with their Thanksgiving Day guests.
