A 69-year-old Winchester man dies following a motorcycle crash on Sunday in the City of Menifee.
The single motorcycle crash shortly before 8:30 P.M. on Domenigoni Parkway, east of Laguna Vista Drive. The rider, identified as John Scherer, was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced deceased at 8:52 p.m.
Preliminary findings indicate that Scherer was traveling westbound on Domenigoni Parkway from Lindenberger Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and struck the center median.
It is unknown at this time whether alcohol or drugs were a factor, as the investigation remains ongoing.
