As we welcome a brand-new year, I am honored and humbled to serve as your mayor and to serve a community defined by its heart, its passion, and its commitment to one another. 2025 has brought us challenges, successes, and moments that reminded us why Canyon Lake is such a truly special place to call home.
Looking forward, 2026 will be a defining year for our city. One of the most exciting milestones ahead is the opening of our very own Canyon Lake Police Department in July/August of 2026. This achievement represents countless hours of planning, coordination, and dedication. It is more than just a department—it is a symbol of local empowerment, safety, and our commitment to protecting the families and neighborhoods that make Canyon Lake who we are.
We are continuing to expand regional collaboration, working closely with neighboring cities, partners, and regional boards. Together, we are helping improve the future of Riverside County as a whole—because Canyon Lake cannot stand alone. Our success grows stronger when we lift each other up and work as one region, one community.
I look forward to working hand-in-hand with our city council and our dedicated staff as we continue implementing a balanced budget rooted in responsibility, transparency, and accountability. Economic growth will remain a priority, and together, we will pursue opportunities that strengthen our local businesses, support our residents, and protect the character of our city.
This will also be a year of continued partnership—with Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, with our District partners, and with the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association. These relationships are critical to ensuring long-term sustainability, quality of life, and the resources our community depends on.
To the residents of Canyon Lake—thank you. Thank you for your trust, your passion, and the pride you pour into this city every day. None of this could be done without your involvement, your voice, and your unwavering dedication.
May the year ahead be filled with joy, unity, safety, and opportunity.
