Riverside County firefighters successfully rescued an individual who fell a quarter of a mile down a fire access dirt road while off-roading on an ATV on Christmas Day.
The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. near Holland Road and Eucalyptus Road in the unincorporated area of Winchester.
The rider was transported via a fire utility vehicle to a designated meeting point, where they were transferred to a ground ambulance and transported to a local hospital. The rider sustained moderate lower-extremity injuries.
