Remembering Timothy Corlew, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy killed in line of duty

The month marks the one year anniversary of the passing of Deputy Timothy Corlew, who was involved in an on-duty traffic collision on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Deputy Corlew was killed in a motorcycle crash around 5 a.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway when he collided with a vehicle and was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

A law enforcement procession and funeral services for Deputy Corlew were held on January 23.

Deputy Corlew, who was assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, began his service with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department on February 1, 2016. After graduating from the 198th Basic Academy, he was assigned to Sheriff’s Court Services before transferring to the Jurupa Valley Station on August 29, 2019. He completed Motor School in June 2022 and was working Motor Enforcement at the time of his death.
