The Canyon Lake Fire Department selected Michael Longobardo as the 2025 Reserve Firefighter of the Year.
Longobardo distinguished himself as one of the department’s most consistent and committed reserve firefighters throughout 2025. His commitment to the program extended beyond attendance, as his positive attitude and professionalism set a strong example for others.
Longobardo has a deep understanding of fire service culture and conducts himself with professionalism. He treats others with respect and, in return, earns theirs. His integrity is evident in his consistent practice of doing the right thing, regardless of circumstance.
With extensive experience in the fire service, including his current role as a fire inspector with the Orange County Fire Authority, Longobardo understands the importance of dependability and has continually demonstrated it at the Canyon Lake Fire Department.
Longobardo joined the Canyon Lake Fire Department in June 2023.
