A Menifee police officer was involved in an on-duty traffic collision while responding to a medical aid call around 2:09 p.m. Wednesday.
The crash occurred when the officer was crossing the intersection of McCall Road and Menifee Road. Two other civilian vehicles were also involved.
CAL FIRE responded to the scene and provided medical aid. The officer and the driver of one of the involved vehicles were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The collision remains under investigation.
