
Dozens of firefighters battled a blaze Tuesday evening at a Lake Elsinore commercial self-storage facility, where about 20 storage units were involved in the fire.
Shortly after 5 p.m., crews responded to the 29100 block of Riverside Drive after reports of a fire at a single-story self-storage complex. Responding firefighters reported heavy smoke from three storage units.
Approximately 20 units were affected by the fire. One civilian suffered minor burns and was evaluated at the scene but declined further medical treatment.
A significant response was dispatched to control the incident, with 11 pieces of suppression equipment and overhead personnel totaling about 40 personnel at the scene working to bring the fire under control and prevent the flames from spreading further through the facility.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
