City of Murrieta to honor fallen heroes at Memorial Day observation ceremony

The City of Murrieta invites the community to attend its annual Memorial Day observation ceremony on Monday, May 25, at 8 a.m. at Town Square Park.

The ceremony will honor the men and women of the armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation, a tradition that brings the community together in reflection and gratitude.

The program will include remarks from Mayor Jon Levell, a presentation of colors by the Murrieta Valley High School Marine Corps JROTC, the national anthem sung by Ryan Valenzuela, and a wreath-laying tribute conducted by Mayor Levell and Mayor Pro Tem Ron Holliday.

The keynote address will be delivered by Sergeant Major Gerald Saunders Jr., retired U.S. Marine Corps.
