In celebration of her spa’s first anniversary in the Canyon Lake Towne Center, Monica Lyons of The Lyons Den Spa turned a milestone moment into an opportunity to give back—hosting a clothing drive for women in need.
Lyons encouraged those attending her spa’s anniversary celebration to bring donations of new or gently worn women’s clothing. To encourage donations, she offered a discount card to those who donated. The donation drive resulted in 70 bags of clothing, reflecting the generosity and compassion of Lyons and the community members who contributed.
On Thursday, Lyons personally delivered the donations to a local shelter in Menifee, ensuring the items would quickly reach women who could benefit from them.
For Lyons, giving back is nothing new. She has built a reputation not only as a business owner but as a consistent supporter of local causes. For the past four years, Lyons has spearheaded an annual blanket drive benefiting Animal Friends of the Valley. That effort brings in nearly 100 bags of blankets each year, helping provide comfort and warmth to animals awaiting adoption.

Lyons has been recognized for her drives by both the City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association. In January 2025, the City of Canyon Lake honored her as Citizen of the Month. In April 2026, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association honored her as Member of the Month. Most recently, Lyons was nominated for the Western Riverside Council of Government (WRCOG) Community Service Award.
By tying her business anniversary to a meaningful cause, Lyons once again demonstrated how local businesses can play a powerful role in strengthening the community and helping those in need.
