The driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Friday in the City of Lake Elsinore has been identified as Usbaldo Gonzalez, a 46-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore.
Around 9:30 p.m., Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the area of Spring Street and Library Street and located a collision involving a single vehicle, with the Gonzalez suffering from significant injuries. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but Gonzalez succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Team assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
