On July 31, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) presented its Marine Patrol report for incidents that occurred from June 29 through July 26. The report highlighted 275 calls for service, a decrease of 126 calls from the previous month.
Staff performed 122 boat safety inspections, 80 quagga inspections, 26 boat tows, and 12 debris/other retrievals and disposal.
In addition to 91 verbal warnings and one written warning, staff issued three citations.
Patrol boats operated 221.1 hours on the main lake, 63.2 hours on the East Bay, and two hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated for 72.2 hours, boat two for 111.4 hours, boat three for two hours, and boat four for 0.7 hours.
Marine Patrol staff are employees of the CLPOA. Marine Patrol’s primary functions are compliance with rules and regulations, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting.
