A 20-year-old Moreno Valley resident has been arrested for allegedly using social media platforms to sell marijuana vape pens to juveniles in the Temecula area.
In April 2026, a school resource deputy assigned to the Southwest Sheriff’s Station received information regarding a subject who was using social media platforms to sell marijuana vape pens to juveniles in the Temecula area. During the investigation, deputies obtained a vehicle description for the suspect, who was later identified as 20-year-old David Hemosillo of Moreno Valley.
On August 6, deputies located Hemosillo’s vehicle in the city of Moreno Valley and conducted a vehicle stop near Perris Boulevard and Iris Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident.
A search warrant was served at Hemosillo’s residence in the 15000 block of Perris Boulevard in Moreno Valley. Deputies learned of a second location connected with Hemosillo and served a search warrant in the 30000 block of Milky Way in Temecula. During the service of the warrants, deputies located a stolen firearm, cocaine packaged for sale, and marijuana products.
Hemosillo was booked on suspicion of cocaine sales, selling marijuana to minors, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a stolen firearm. His bail was set at $50,000.
