The Second Annual A Day in Shoes will be held on Friday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, located at 39405 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd.
Created by Lori Stone, A Day in Her Shoes is more than an event—it’s a movement providing women with motivation, inspiration, encouragement, and career opportunities, A Day in Her Shoes is designed to empower women to imagine themselves in new or different shoes and to connect with women who are already wearing them.
Talented and exceptional women from greater Southern California will gather for this day-long immersive experience. Women in science, engineering, hospitality, non-profits, medical, culinary, agriculture, viniculture, public service, first responders, and elected office will share their different success paths.
Participants will learn that each path requires a different pair of shoes. Finding the right fit takes exploration, curiosity, mentorship, hard work, motivation, and connections, and it can be very challenging. Knowing where to search, especially for young women, women changing careers, women re-entering the workforce, or women wanting leadership positions, can be difficult. Bringing in the region’s female talent together with leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers is a winning formula.
A Day in Her Shoes also educates and informs. In the greater southwest Riverside area, women, youth, and children are at risk of human trafficking. A local victim and her mother will share their stories of the unimaginable horror happening in the region.
Ticket prices are $150 and include parking, admission, immersive experiences, food, beverages, a program, and more. Proceeds from this event fund Oak Grove Center’s education and career-related programs. To purchase tickets, click here.
