Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) recently marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its new low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinic.

AFV’s new clinic not only signifies the completion of a construction project but also heralds a new era in AFV’s mission to enhance animal welfare.

AFV’s new $3 million facility bolsters AFV’s capacity for pet spaying and neutering surgeries to reduce pet overpopulation.

\AFV’s existing clinic in the City of Lake Elsinore has been a vital resource, performing 30 to 50 surgeries per day. With the addition of the new facility, AFV’s capacity will be significantly augmented, allowing for up to 120 surgeries per day when fully staffed.

AFV is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that offers animals for adoption and services for the cities of Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, Wildomar, and the surrounding rural county areas.

In 2023, AFV received more than 8,000 homeless or abandoned pets, vaccinated more than 9,000 cats and dogs at its low-cost clinic, and reunited more than 1,000 lost cats and dogs to their families. There are approximately 300 pets in the shelter daily. For more information, visit
